What is needed to hold a STRAIGHT 9 SPORTS umpiring clinic

A. A baseball field
B. Indoor classroom
C. an area large enough to set up a pitching machine for plate drills
D. Ideally, an indoor area large enough to lay out a small infield - this can be done in a smaller area than you think.
This would be in case of inclement weather that would prohibit outdoor training

What are the cost associated with the school?
A. The fee for Straight 9 Sports Umpiring Academy is $150 per student which includes a commemorative Academy shirt, a certificate of course completion, wriiten material, and lunch for each student on Saturday catered by a local provider. This is subject to adequate enrollment in each class and is subject to change based on the volume of students.
B. Any overnight accomodations required by STRAIGHT 9 SPORTS staff in order to facilitate such a school will be over and above the flat rate as quoted above.

What material is covered in the school?

Call our office and we will forward your league or association our text information for your review prior to making a commitment. We want you satisfield that the material we cover and the manner in which it is taught to your umpires is what you as a rec league director, tournament director, or Umpire in Chief is looking for. We feel that it is a terrific opportunity to bolster our sport. Each student that completes the course receives a CERTIFICATE OF COURSE COMPLETION and a vast amount of knowledge to take with them as they further their respective careers in this profession.

A. It has been quite advantageous in the past for groups requesting our school to offer coaches the ability to attend for free. If you run a rec league, travel league, or serve as UIC for either, the coaches who patronize your events certainly can learn a lot from this school and gain a great degree of understanding into our profession.
